Research

One of the goals of Accessible Academia is to stimulate Dutch scientific research into disability. More specifically, the network advocates for research into disability as a social, societal and cultural phenomenon, research from a Disability Studies perspective and research that stems from and incorporates lived experiences with disability.

Within Accessible Academia, students and researchers with lived experiences with disability unite from a wide range of scientific disciplines, with the goal of gaining more findability and visibility for their work. In addition, the network aspires to increase interest in Disability Studies, for example through reading groups and sharing knowledge, resources and supporting our partners DisPLACE and Disability Studies in Nederland.
